I am a member of our Family Law, Mediation and Residential Conveyancing departments.
I qualified in 1979 and have many years of experience in all aspects of family law. I specialise in resolving financial and other issues arising from all types of relationship breakdowns and dealing with the sensitive needs of cases involving children. I am a Chair of the Bristol Collaborative POD, the Bristol group of collaborative family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.
I am a Family Mediation Council fully accredited mediator and have been working as a mediator for over 15 years. I'm listed on the Ministry of Justice as a mediator who can undertake Mediation Information and Assessments Meetings (MIAMS) and committed to helping separating and divorcing clients, who seek to minimise conflict, reach solutions that are tailored to their unique circumstances and children. I like to help people through the changes they are facing to achieve the best outcome possible – one that is cost effective and constructive and that helps parents co-parent their children into the future. She believes that, whenever possible, helping couples to work together to resolve their differences will provide lasting results.
Julia's approach is practical and straightforward. The focus is on achieving completion as smoothly and efficiently as possible and ensuring that the clients are kept fully informed.
